Former TOWIE star Jordan Wright found dead in Thailand aged 33
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright has tragically been found dead in Thailand at the age of 33, sparking shock and grief among fans and fellow reality TV stars.
Wright’s body was discovered on March 14 in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket, just days after he had relocated to the country for what appeared to be a fresh start.
Mysterious circumstances
According to local authorities, there were no visible signs of assault or struggle, and his belongings — including his phone and hotel key card — were found nearby.
CCTV footage reportedly showed Wright pacing restlessly outside his hotel shortly before he disappeared, raising questions about his final hours.
Police confirmed he had checked into his hotel alone and was due to check out the day before his body was discovered, but never did.
An autopsy is now underway to determine the exact cause of death, including whether alcohol or other substances may have been involved.
From reality TV to a new life abroad
Wright rose to fame through appearances on The Only Way Is Essex in 2018, as well as MTV’s Ex on the Beach.
After stepping back from television, he returned to his career as a firefighter and had only recently moved to Thailand. In his final social media posts, he shared images enjoying island life, captioning one post: “I’m home.”

Following the devastating news, tributes have flooded in from friends, fans, and fellow reality stars. Many described Wright as “kind”, “charismatic” and “full of life.”
The UK’s Foreign Office is said to be supporting his family while working with Thai authorities as investigations continue.

While there is currently no evidence of foul play, the circumstances surrounding Wright’s death remain unclear. Authorities in Thailand are continuing their investigation as they await full autopsy results.
