700 PRISONERS RELEASED EARLY AS GOVERNMENT FACES PRESSURE ON JAILS
Early-release scheme puts spotlight on Britain’s overcrowded prison system
UK — Around 700 prisoners are being released early under an early-release scheme, as authorities continue to face intense pressure over prison capacity.
The move forms part of wider efforts to manage overcrowding and ensure that prisons have enough space to accommodate new offenders entering the system.
Those released under an approved early-release arrangement are generally subject to strict conditions, which can include supervision, licence requirements and restrictions on where they can go or who they can contact. Breaking those conditions can result in a return to prison.
The policy has sparked debate across the country. Supporters argue that carefully managed early release can help prevent prisons from becoming dangerously overcrowded and allow resources to be focused on prisoners who pose a greater risk.
Critics, however, have raised concerns about whether releasing prisoners before they have completed their full sentence could create additional risks for communities and victims.
The announcement also highlights a much wider problem facing the UK’s criminal-justice system: how to balance public safety, punishment, rehabilitation and limited prison capacity.
For victims and their families, the prospect of an offender being released earlier than expected can be particularly difficult. Authorities therefore face pressure to ensure that risk assessments and supervision arrangements are robust.
KEY FACTS
* 700 prisoners are reported to be affected by the early-release scheme.
* The releases are intended to help ease pressure on prison capacity.
* Released prisoners can remain subject to legal conditions and supervision.
* Breaching release conditions can lead to further legal consequences.
* The scheme has reignited the national debate over prison overcrowding and public safety.
222 NEWS — THE BIG QUESTION
CAN BRITAIN’S PRISON SYSTEM KEEP THE PUBLIC SAFE WHILE DEALING WITH RECORD PRESSURE ON PRISON CAPACITY?
The release of hundreds of prisoners early is likely to keep that question firmly in the national spotlight.

TWO YOUNG HACKERS JAILED AFTER £29 MILLION TfL CYBERATTACK
Two young British hackers have been jailed for five-and-a-half years each after carrying out a major cyberattack against Transport for London (TfL), an attack that left the transport organisation facing around £29 million in losses and recovery costs.
Thalha Jubair, 20, from east London, and Owen Flowers, 18, from Walsall, West Midlands, admitted their involvement in the attack, which targeted TfL’s computer network between 31 August and 3 September 2024. Both were subsequently sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court.
How the attack unfolded
The attackers gained access to TfL’s internal systems and were able to reach highly privileged areas of the network. Investigators said the pair were associated with the online criminal collective known as Scattered Spider.
The incident forced TfL to take emergency measures to protect its wider network. More than 27,000 employees were required to attend TfL offices to reset their passwords, while 148 systems became inoperable, according to the National Crime Agency.
The disruption extended beyond TfL’s internal workforce. Services including parts of the Oyster and contactless payment systems, customer refunds, concessionary travel cards and the Dial-a-Ride booking service were affected. Some customers experienced delays in receiving refunds.
Customer information accessed
The investigation found that information held within TfL systems was accessed, including data connected with Oyster refunds. TfL had initially reported that customer information had been accessed during the incident, while the authorities investigated the full extent of the breach.
The attack demonstrated how a cyber incident against a major public organisation can quickly spread beyond computers and into everyday services used by millions of people.
£29 million bill
TfL was reported to have suffered approximately £29 million in losses and recovery costs as a result of the attack. The wider disruption also created significant operational pressure as the organisation worked to restore systems and strengthen its security.
Authorities warned that the consequences could have been far greater. Prosecutors said the hackers had reached a level of access that created a serious risk to TfL and the wider UK economy.
Five-and-a-half-year sentences
In July 2026, Jubair and Flowers were each sentenced to five years and six months in prison. The Crown Prosecution Service said the pair had shown a serious disregard for the potential consequences of their actions.
The case is a major warning about the vulnerability of large public organisations to cybercrime. TfL handles enormous amounts of operational and customer information every day, making the protection of its digital infrastructure critical to London’s transport network.
THE BIG WARNING
The TfL attack shows that cybercrime is no longer simply about stealing information. A successful intrusion into a major public service can disrupt payments, customer services, employees and essential infrastructure — potentially creating consequences far beyond the original computer breach.
For TfL, the 2024 attack ultimately produced a £29 million bill, months of disruption and a major criminal investigation that ended with two young hackers behind bars.

RUSSIA PLAGUE ALERT: BUBONIC VS PNEUMONIC — WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
A dangerous disease with two very different forms is putting public-health experts on alert
Reports surrounding plague in Russia have raised concerns about one of history’s most feared infectious diseases. But what exactly is the difference between bubonic plague and pneumonic plague, and why is the pneumonic form considered particularly dangerous?
Plague is caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis. Although often associated with medieval history, plague has not disappeared. Cases can still occur, particularly where the bacteria circulate naturally among wild rodents and fleas.
BUBONIC PLAGUE — THE CLASSIC FORM
Bubonic plague is the most common form of plague.
It is normally transmitted through the bite of an infected flea. The bacteria enter the body and travel to nearby lymph nodes, which can become extremely swollen and painful. These swollen lymph nodes are known as buboes.
Symptoms can include:
* Sudden fever and chills
* Headache
* Weakness
* Muscle aches
* Painful swollen lymph nodes
* Severe illness if treatment is delayed
Bubonic plague does not normally spread directly from person to person. However, without rapid treatment, the infection can enter the bloodstream and develop into more severe forms of plague.
PNEUMONIC PLAGUE — THE MORE DANGEROUS FORM FOR TRANSMISSION
Pneumonic plague affects the lungs and is considered the most serious form of plague.
It can develop when plague bacteria spread to the lungs, including as a complication of another form of plague. It can also be acquired by inhaling infectious respiratory droplets from a person or animal with pneumonic plague.
Symptoms can include:
* Fever
* Weakness
* Chest pain
* Shortness of breath
* Cough
* Sometimes bloody or watery sputum
Unlike bubonic plague, pneumonic plague can spread between people through respiratory droplets, making rapid diagnosis, isolation and treatment particularly important.
WHY THE DIFFERENCE MATTERS
The word “plague” does not automatically mean a new Black Death-style pandemic is occurring.
Modern medicine has effective antibiotics for plague when treatment is started promptly. The greatest danger comes when the disease is not recognised and treated quickly.
Public-health authorities also monitor suspected cases carefully because pneumonic plague has the potential for person-to-person transmission.
FROM MEDIEVAL FEAR TO MODERN MEDICINE
The medieval Black Death was caused by Yersinia pestis and killed millions of people across Europe, Asia and North Africa.
Today, however, healthcare systems have antibiotics, laboratory testing, infection-control procedures and surveillance systems that were unimaginable centuries ago.
That does not make plague harmless — but it means that a reported case or outbreak should not automatically be interpreted as a repeat of the medieval Black Death.
222 NEWS — THE KEY MESSAGE
The important distinction is simple:
BUBONIC = mainly associated with infected fleas and swollen lymph nodes.
PNEUMONIC = infection of the lungs and the form capable of spreading through respiratory droplets.
Any confirmed outbreak should therefore be taken seriously, but the public should rely on verified information from Russian health authorities and international public-health organisations rather than social-media claims or exaggerated reports.
HEALTH WARNING
Anyone who believes they may have been exposed to plague and develops a sudden fever, severe weakness, swollen lymph nodes or respiratory symptoms should seek urgent medical attention. Plague is a medical emergency, but early antibiotic treatment can be highly effective.

US PULLS B-1 BOMBERS FROM UK AS SECURITY FEARS GROW
American military aircraft leave RAF Fairford after suspected terror plot raises major security questions
The United States has withdrawn its B-1B Lancer bombers from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and returned the aircraft to their home bases in America, in a major military move that has attracted international attention.
The withdrawal comes just days after a suspected terror plot near the airbase led to the arrest of several people. British counter-terrorism officers are continuing to investigate the incident, which has been described as a complex investigation.
B-1 BOMBERS HEAD HOME
Around 12 B-1B Lancer bombers had been operating from RAF Fairford. The aircraft departed the UK on October 4, with the Pentagon subsequently confirming that all U.S. bombers deployed at Fairford had returned to their home stations in the United States.
The B-1B is one of America’s major long-range bomber aircraft and is capable of carrying out precision strikes over very long distances.
The presence of the bombers at Fairford had given the United States an important forward operating location in Europe, reducing the distance and flight time required for missions into the Middle East.
SECURITY ALERT AT RAF FAIRFORD
The decision follows a security incident on September 27, when five men were arrested near the base after suspicious activity involving several vans.
Counter-terrorism police subsequently became involved. A sixth person, a dual British-Iranian national, was later arrested in London.
All six suspects have since been released on bail while the investigation continues. Police have said that no explosive devices were found, although petrol was reportedly discovered.
There have been suggestions of possible Iranian involvement. UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham said there were strong indications that Iran may have played a role, while Iran has denied involvement. The investigation has not established publicly who was responsible.
WHAT DOES THE WITHDRAWAL MEAN?
The move does not mean the United States has abandoned its ability to conduct long-range bomber operations.
The Pentagon stressed that America’s bomber fleet remains ready to conduct global precision-strike missions, including missions launched from bases inside the United States.
However, moving the aircraft away from Britain changes America’s forward military posture in Europe.
RAF Fairford has historically been an important base for American heavy bombers and has played a significant role in U.S. military operations in the Middle East.
The sudden departure therefore raises questions about security around the base and the wider military situation involving the United States, Britain and Iran.
A MAJOR SECURITY MESSAGE
The withdrawal demonstrates how quickly military deployments can change when security threats emerge.
For Britain, the incident also highlights the challenge of protecting military installations that are being used to support major international military operations.
For the United States, returning the B-1 bombers home allows the aircraft and their crews to remain available while reducing their exposure at a base that has recently become the focus of a terrorism investigation.
The investigation into the suspected plot remains ongoing, and authorities have yet to publicly establish the full motive or identify who may have been behind it.
222 News will continue to follow developments surrounding RAF Fairford, the investigation and the changing military relationship between Britain, America and Iran.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Takes Police to Court Over Epstein Investigation
Former Prince Andrew challenges the legality of police searches following his arrest linked to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, is taking legal action against Thames Valley Police in a dramatic new development connected to the investigation surrounding his links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The former Duke of York has been granted permission to seek a judicial review, asking the High Court to examine whether police acted lawfully when search warrants were obtained and executed at properties connected to him.
The legal challenge centres on warrants that allowed detectives to search his residence on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk and his former home, Royal Lodge, in Windsor. The warrants were issued following an application by Thames Valley Police.
Arrest and investigation
Andrew was arrested on February 19, 2026, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was questioned under caution before being released under investigation. Police subsequently confirmed that two addresses in Norfolk and Berkshire had been searched.
The investigation followed the release of material relating to Epstein and concerns about Andrew’s activities during his time as the UK’s trade envoy between 2001 and 2011.
Thames Valley Police has said the investigation remains ongoing and that detectives have been working with US authorities and the Crown Prosecution Service.
What does Andrew’s court challenge mean?
The judicial review does not determine whether Andrew is guilty or innocent of the allegations being investigated. Instead, his legal team is challenging whether the police followed the law when obtaining and using the search warrants.
A High Court hearing is expected to consider whether certain documents connected with the judicial review should be made public.
The case could therefore become an important legal battle over the powers used by police during the investigation.
A major moment for the former royal
The development adds another chapter to the extraordinary fallout from Andrew’s association with Epstein.
Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing. The police investigation itself remains active, and no conclusion about criminal liability should be drawn from the arrest or the judicial review proceedings.
For Thames Valley Police, the challenge means the force may now have to defend in court the legality of the searches that formed part of its investigation.
The road ahead
The High Court proceedings will determine how the judicial review progresses and whether material surrounding the warrants becomes publicly available.
Meanwhile, the underlying police investigation continues.
The case places Andrew at the centre of another major legal confrontation — this time with the police force investigating allegations arising from the Epstein files.

Trump Family Celebrates 100th Birthday of Beloved Grandmother
The Trump family has come together for a major family milestone, celebrating the 100th birthday of Marie Zelníčková, affectionately known within the family as “Babi.”
The special celebration took place at Ivanka Trump’s home in Miami on September 26, bringing together four generations of the family. Marie was surrounded by her three grandchildren — Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump — as well as her ten great-grandchildren.
Ivanka shared photographs from the celebration on social media, describing the occasion as an incredibly special moment for the family. The photographs showed Marie at the centre of the celebrations, including a family portrait and a large birthday cake marking her remarkable 100 years.
A celebration across four generations
The gathering was a chance for the family to celebrate Marie’s life and the generations that have followed her.
Ivanka attended with her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three children. Eric Trump was accompanied by his wife Lara and their children, while Donald Trump Jr. attended with members of his family.
The milestone was also an emotional occasion because Marie’s daughter, Ivana Trump, died in 2022. Ivanka said her mother was deeply missed during the celebration, but that her presence was felt through family stories and memories.
“A century of love”
Ivanka paid tribute to her grandmother by reflecting on the impact she has had on the family over the past century.
Her message described the birthday as a celebration of “100 years of life, love, family and memories,” while highlighting the four generations brought together for the occasion.
For the Trump family, the birthday represented more than simply reaching the age of 100. It was an opportunity to celebrate family history, remember loved ones who are no longer there and recognise the generations that have grown from Marie’s life.
A remarkable family milestone
The photographs from Miami offered a rare glimpse into a more personal side of the Trump family, away from politics and public life.
At the heart of the gathering was Marie Zelníčková, celebrating a remarkable century surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The occasion served as a reminder that, despite the public attention surrounding the Trump family, family milestones can bring generations together to celebrate memories, love and the people who helped shape them.

Trump Message ‘Gays for Palestine’ in Controversial Speech
Donald Trump has sparked a fresh political controversy after targeting the “Gays for Palestine” movement during a campaign rally in Mobile, Alabama.
Speaking to supporters, Trump questioned why LGBTQ activists would support the Palestinian cause, arguing that gay people face serious discrimination and persecution in parts of the Middle East.
“Gays for Palestine, how about that?” Trump told the crowd. He then questioned what happens to gay people “in that part of the world” and suggested sending members of the movement there to negotiate.
Trump added that they would “never see them again”, before saying he did not want to describe what could happen to them.
Concerns over LGBTQ rights
Trump’s comments focused attention on the difficult situation faced by LGBTQ Palestinians, particularly in Gaza.
Homosexual activity is illegal in Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, and LGBTQ Palestinians have reported discrimination, threats, abuse and violence. Human-rights organisations have also documented cases involving severe persecution of LGBTQ people.
However, the situation is more complicated than suggesting that all Palestinians or all people in the region treat gay people in the same way. Conditions and laws differ between Gaza, the West Bank and neighbouring countries.
A warning to LGBTQ activists
Trump’s central argument was that supporters of the Palestinian cause who identify as LGBTQ should be concerned about the treatment of gay people in the territories they are supporting.
His remarks have reignited a wider debate over the relationship between LGBTQ rights and the Palestinian movement.
Supporters of Trump argue that he was highlighting a genuine human-rights concern: LGBTQ Palestinians can face serious danger because of their sexual orientation.
Critics, however, argue that his comments painted an extremely complicated conflict with a broad brush and used the suffering of LGBTQ people as a political attack against pro-Palestinian activists.
The wider political debate
The remarks come as the United States remains deeply involved in the political debate surrounding Israel, Gaza and the future of the Palestinian people.
For LGBTQ Palestinians, the issue is particularly complicated. Some face discrimination or threats within Palestinian society while also dealing with the wider consequences of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Trump’s speech therefore raises an uncomfortable question for activists: can someone support Palestinian rights while simultaneously opposing discrimination against LGBTQ Palestinians?
The answer, according to many human-rights advocates, is yes — supporting Palestinian civilians and their rights does not necessarily mean supporting Hamas or accepting discrimination against LGBTQ people.
222 News conclusion
Trump’s comments have placed LGBTQ rights back into the centre of America’s increasingly heated debate over Gaza and Palestine. His message was clear: he believes LGBTQ supporters of the Palestinian cause should look more closely at how gay people can be treated in parts of the region.
But the debate also highlights the danger of reducing millions of people and a complex conflict to a single description. LGBTQ Palestinians themselves remain caught between social discrimination, political repression and a devastating wider conflict.

Thousands Take to the Streets in Ireland as Donald Trump Visits
DUBLIN, IRELAND — Thousands of people took part in demonstrations across Ireland during US President Donald Trump’s two-day visit in September, with protesters gathering in Dublin, Shannon and Doonbeg to voice opposition to his policies and his presence in the country.
The largest demonstration took place in Dublin, where protesters marched from the Garden of Remembrance along O’Connell Street. Organisers said the demonstration attracted tens of thousands, while reports confirmed that thousands took part. Around 30 political, campaign and trade-union groups were involved in organising the protest.
Gaza and US Foreign Policy at the Centre
A major focus of the demonstrations was US foreign policy, particularly the conflict in Gaza and America’s wider military involvement overseas.
At Shannon Airport, protesters carried Palestinian flags and called for an end to the US military presence at the airport. Demonstrators also chanted “Free Palestine” and “US military out of Shannon.”
Other protesters raised concerns about human rights, climate change, women’s rights and Irish neutrality. Some demonstrations also criticised Trump’s political record and policies.
Protests in Doonbeg
Demonstrations also took place in Doonbeg, County Clare, close to Trump’s golf resort, where he attended the Irish Open.
The area was surrounded by a significant Garda security operation as the president arrived by helicopter. Gardaí and protesters were reported to have largely maintained cordial relations during the demonstrations.
Two activists were later brought before Ennis District Court after an incident at the golf course. They were accused of public-order offences after allegedly shouting anti-war slogans and wearing shirts carrying messages opposing the US military presence at Shannon. They were granted bail and ordered to stay away from the Trump golf resort pending a later court appearance.
A Divided Reaction
Trump’s visit highlighted differing views within Ireland. While protesters demonstrated against his policies, there were also people in Doonbeg who supported the president and welcomed his visit.
The demonstrations ultimately became one of the most visible features of Trump’s Irish visit, putting questions about Gaza, US foreign policy, Irish neutrality and the relationship between Ireland and the United States firmly into the public spotlight.

SECRET METH LABS: NIGERIA FACES GROWING DRUG MANUFACTURING THREAT
By 222 News
Nigeria is facing a worrying new chapter in the fight against organised crime, as authorities continue to uncover clandestine laboratories producing methamphetamine on an industrial scale.
The discoveries have raised serious concerns about the country’s emergence as a potential manufacturing base for synthetic drugs, rather than simply being used as a transit route.
Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has dismantled several sophisticated laboratories during 2026, including facilities hidden deep inside forests and rural communities. Authorities say some of the operations have involved Nigerian collaborators working with Mexican nationals with specialist knowledge of methamphetamine production.
INDUSTRIAL-SCALE OPERATIONS
One of the most significant discoveries came in Ogun State, where the NDLEA said it uncovered an industrial-scale clandestine laboratory and seized more than two tonnes of chemical materials and methamphetamine-related substances.
The agency estimated the international value of the seized material at approximately $362.9 million, underlining the enormous financial incentives available to criminal organisations involved in synthetic-drug production.
The problem did not end there.
In June, another industrial-scale laboratory was discovered in a forest in Oyo State. The NDLEA arrested five people, including a Mexican national it described as a methamphetamine production expert. The agency said the facility contained reactors, distillation equipment and large quantities of chemical precursors.
FORESTS BECOMING SECRET FACTORIES
Authorities are particularly concerned about the use of remote forests and rural communities to conceal laboratories.
The locations can provide criminal organisations with isolation from communities and law enforcement while allowing large quantities of chemicals and equipment to be moved discreetly.
The NDLEA has warned that international criminal networks appear to be attempting to establish a synthetic-drug manufacturing hub in parts of southwestern Nigeria.
Further investigations have also uncovered suspected links between laboratories in different parts of the country, including Ogun, Oyo and Ebonyi.
A TRANSNATIONAL THREAT
The involvement of foreign specialists has added another layer to the crisis.
In September, the NDLEA announced the arrest of a suspected Mexican drug kingpin who it said was attempting to leave Nigeria through Lagos airport. The investigation reportedly followed the discovery of another suspected laboratory network connected to properties in Ebonyi State.
And in September, authorities announced the discovery of another clandestine laboratory in Enugu State, allegedly operated by a Nigerian-Mexican network. Two Nigerian suspects were arrested in connection with the investigation.
THE HUMAN COST
Methamphetamine is a highly addictive synthetic stimulant. Its growing production presents more than a policing problem — it is also a major public-health concern.
An increase in locally manufactured meth could make the drug easier to distribute within Nigerian communities while potentially creating new trafficking routes to international markets.
The consequences could include addiction, family breakdown, financial hardship, crime and serious health problems for people who become dependent on the drug.
CRUDE OIL AND DRUG CRIME — TWO DIFFERENT CRISES
Nigeria is also dealing with another long-running criminal and environmental problem: illegal crude-oil refining.
However, the available evidence does not establish that the newly discovered methamphetamine laboratories are producing crude oil. These should be reported as two separate problems unless investigators establish a direct connection.
Both nevertheless demonstrate the challenge facing Nigerian authorities: criminal networks can exploit remote areas, complex supply chains and weak oversight to create highly profitable illegal industries.
NIGERIA UNDER PRESSURE
The scale and sophistication of the laboratories uncovered in 2026 have intensified concerns about organised crime in Nigeria.
The NDLEA has repeatedly stated that Nigeria will not be allowed to become a safe haven for international drug cartels and has continued pursuing both the laboratories and the wider networks believed to finance and operate them.
The message from the authorities is clear: the battle is no longer simply about stopping drugs entering Nigeria.
It is increasingly about stopping criminal organisations from manufacturing them inside the country.
222 NEWS — KEY POINT
Hidden forests. Industrial laboratories. International criminal networks.
Nigeria is confronting a growing synthetic-drug threat, and the discovery of multiple large-scale methamphetamine laboratories shows that authorities are facing an increasingly sophisticated criminal industry.
The challenge now is not only to shut down the laboratories — but to dismantle the networks behind them before Nigeria becomes an established manufacturing centre for methamphetamine.

Trump Calls Google CEO Sundar Pichai a “Monster” During High-Profile White House Meeting
WASHINGTON — A bizarre and humorous moment unfolded outside the White House when US President Donald Trump described Google CEO Sundar Pichai as a “monster” during a high-profile meeting with some of the world’s biggest technology leaders.
Trump made the remark on September 29, 2026, following a White House gathering focused on the rapidly developing world of artificial intelligence and the need for greater safeguards around advanced AI systems
As Pichai prepared to speak to reporters, Trump interrupted and praised him, saying that Pichai was a “monster” and that “nobody knows” him. Trump then emphasised Pichai’s name, saying that all people needed to know was “Sundar.”
Pichai responded with humour, saying he hoped it would become a better tagline than “I’m a monster.” The exchange prompted laughter among those present.
AI Giants Gather at the White House
The unusual exchange came during a much more serious discussion about the future of artificial intelligence.
Trump hosted senior figures from the technology industry, including Pichai, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI President Greg Brockman. Elon Musk’s xAI was also represented.
The meeting focused on AI safety, corporate controls and how the industry should respond to concerns about increasingly powerful AI systems.
A voluntary agreement was announced under which participating companies would adopt internal controls and independent external reviews, alongside board-level oversight of audit findings. The agreement was described by Trump as “morally binding” rather than a legally enforceable regulation.
Pichai’s Message
Despite the light-hearted moment, Pichai used his appearance to stress that the technology could bring significant benefits while also requiring safeguards.
He said the industry wanted to make sure its products were developed safely and compared the proposed controls with established financial controls used by companies.
The episode therefore combined two very different sides of the White House meeting: Trump’s highly informal interaction with one of the world’s most prominent technology executives, and a serious debate over how artificial intelligence should be developed and monitored.
The “Monster” Moment Goes Viral
The unusual description quickly attracted attention because Pichai is already one of the most recognisable figures in global technology.
Trump’s wording was widely interpreted by coverage of the event as praise for Pichai’s influence and success, rather than a literal allegation that the Google chief was dangerous or had committed wrongdoing.
For Pichai, however, the phrase produced an unexpected headline — one he appeared happy to joke about himself.
A White House meeting about the future of artificial intelligence had suddenly produced one of its most memorable moments: “Sundar — the monster.”
