A British father-of-four, Nathan Osman, tragically died after falling from a 200-metre cliff in Benidorm, Spain, during a holiday with friends in September 2024. The 30-year-old from Pontypridd, South Wales, had been on his first trip abroad when he became separated from his group following a night out. He had FaceTimed his friends to say he was returning to the hotel, but his body was discovered the next morning by an off-duty police officer at the base of the cliff.

A post-mortem examination conducted in Alicante concluded that Osman died from head and abdominal injuries consistent with a fall from height. However, his family has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death. They discovered that his bank cards were used after his death and traced his last movements through CCTV footage. Despite these findings, they claim Spanish authorities prematurely closed the case, prompting his siblings, Lee and Alannah, to travel to Benidorm seeking direct contact with local police for a more in-depth investigation.

Osman’s family described him as an “incredible father,” “loyal,” and “caring,” emphasizing that his children were his “absolute world.” A GoFundMe campaign raised £22,000 to repatriate his body and support his children.

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office is supporting the family and engaging with local authorities.
