Trump Slams Mayor Sadiq Khan, Says He Prefers Nigel Farage: “A Real Leader”

In a fresh outburst that reignited his long-standing feud with London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on the British politician, stating bluntly, “I’d take Nigel Farage over Sadiq Khan any day – at least Nigel loves his country.”

Speaking to reporters during a campaign-style rally in Florida, the former U.S. president was asked about UK politics when he steered the conversation straight toward Khan. “Sadiq Khan is a disaster,” Trump said. “He’s been terrible for London — crime, stabbings, the whole thing — it’s out of control. And he has no respect for the people who built that city.”

Trump, never one to mince words, ramped up his criticism further, claiming Khan had “zero leadership skills” and was “more focused on political correctness than protecting his own city.” He contrasted that sharply with his praise for Nigel Farage, the former Brexit Party leader and long-time Trump ally. “Nigel is a guy who speaks his mind. He’s tough, smart, and he doesn’t bow to the woke mob. He gets it. He gets what the people want.”

The rivalry between Trump and Khan stretches back to Trump’s first term as president, during which Khan repeatedly condemned Trump’s rhetoric on immigration, crime, and Islam. Trump, in turn, has often responded with personal insults, once even mocking Khan’s height by calling him a “stone cold loser” who “should focus on crime in London, not me.”

On Sunday, Trump doubled down, saying, “Sadiq has always hated me because I told the truth about him. But the people of London see what’s going on. They know things were better before he showed up. If I ran London, it would be the safest, cleanest city in the world — believe me.”

Trump’s comments are likely to stir further transatlantic tension, especially as Khan recently voiced hopes for stronger ties between London and Washington under a potential Biden second term. Trump, however, dismissed any chance of cooperation, stating, “If I’m back in the White House, Sadiq Khan will not be welcome. Nigel Farage? Anytime.”

This fiery exchange adds yet another chapter to the Trump-Khan saga — a feud fueled by clashing ideologies, political egos, and now, the unmistakable praise for a familiar British populist: Nigel Farage.
