UK Rapper Loski Arrested After Fatal Car Crash, Faces Multiple Charges

London, July 15, 2025 – South London drill and UK hip‑hop artist Loski (real name Jyrelle Justin O’Connor), the 26‑year‑old Harlem Spartans member, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and possession of a knife following a serious vehicle collision that claimed a man’s life earlier this week.

The Incident & Allegations

Police say a fatal collision occurred when Loski was allegedly driving in a residential area of London. The crash resulted in one pedestrian fatality. Soon after, officers detained Loski on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Separately, law enforcement sources from X (formerly Twitter) report he is also being investigated for possible possession of a knife at the time of the crash.

Legal Context & Potential Consequences

Dangerous driving resulting in death in the UK can lead to sentences ranging from six months to 14 years, depending on the circumstances. The addition of a knife possession charge can compound the potential penalties if conviction follows.

“Back to jail again” — Online Response

On Reddit’s r/ukdrill forum, users reacted quickly:

“Repeat offender and known to carry weapons? They’ll throw down as harsh a sentence as possible…”

“Everyone talking about the knife, not that he potentially killed someone…”

Many noted his previous criminal history may work against him in court.

Loski’s Troubled Past

This isn’t Loski’s first brush with the law:

In April 2019, he was arrested after police found a loaded revolver hidden in an Uber; he was later convicted in January 2023 of possessing the firearm and ammunition, resulting in a seven‑year prison sentence.

He was released in October 2024, having served much of the sentence.

Loski has consistently claimed past weapons were forced upon him by others, including drug dealers. However, prosecutors and courts have rejected these defenses in prior cases.

Music Background & Influence

Loski, born in Kennington in 1999, rose to fame under various monikers like Lil’ Nizzy. His breakthrough came with underground hits such as Hazards and DJ Khaled in 2016. His debut album Music, Trial & Trauma: A Drill Story reached number 39 on the UK charts in 2020  . He continued releasing music, including the Censored EP in late 2021.

Despite legal troubles, he has collaborated with notable artists like Stormzy and was even cited by Drake as a creative influence.

What Happens Next

Police sources confirm that Loski remains in custody pending further inquiries. Legal experts say the severity of charges—especially fatal dangerous driving—could result in a lengthy prison term if convicted. Defence attorneys will likely need to argue mitigating circumstances.

The Community’s View

Online drill‑music circles appear divided. Some emphasize the weapon charge, others prioritize accountability for the man’s death. One Redditor criticized the focus on weapons, reminding readers:
