Driver Who Stole Car Crashes into Armed Police Van After 100mph Chase
A dramatic high-speed police pursuit ended in chaos yesterday after a stolen vehicle travelling at speeds of up to 100mph slammed into an armed police van.
The incident began shortly after 11:30am when officers were alerted to a car theft in progress in [insert location]. The suspect, believed to be in his late 20s, fled the scene in the stolen vehicle, sparking a pursuit by specialist traffic units.
Witnesses reported seeing the car weaving through traffic, jumping red lights and mounting pavements as the driver attempted to evade capture. Police confirmed the chase reached speeds exceeding 100mph along stretches of the [insert road name], forcing other motorists to swerve out of the way.
