19-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed in Peckham: Murder Investigation Launched
A 19-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Peckham, south London, in a shocking incident that has prompted a murder investigation by police.
Attack on Rye Lane
The Metropolitan Police were called to reports of an assault on Rye Lane, near the junction with Heaton Road in Peckham Rye, at around 7:09 pm on Saturday, 14 February 2026. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended swiftly, treating the victim at the scene before he was taken to hospital. Despite those efforts, he was later pronounced dead.
The identity of the young man has not yet been publicly released, but police have confirmed that his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers as they come to terms with their loss.
