Fake “Doctor” Jailed After Injecting Cement Into Patient’s Buttocks

A shocking criminal case has highlighted the deadly dangers of unlicensed cosmetic procedures, after a so-called “doctor” was arrested and jailed for injecting a toxic mixture—including cement—into a patient’s body.

The case, which took place in Florida, involved Oneal Ron Morris, an individual who falsely posed as a cosmetic surgeon while carrying out illegal buttock enhancement procedures. Patients believed they were receiving safe silicone treatments, but instead were injected with a dangerous cocktail of substances such as cement, mineral oil, glue and even tyre sealant.

A Deadly Procedure

One of Morris’s victims, Shatarka Nuby, underwent multiple injections over several years. After the procedures, her condition rapidly deteriorated—her skin hardened, turned dark, and she suffered severe internal complications.

Medical investigations later found that the substances had migrated through her body, ultimately causing fatal respiratory failure.

Authorities arrested Morris, who was later convicted of manslaughter and practicing medicine without a licence. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison, bringing some measure of justice to the victim’s family.

How the Scam Operated

According to reports, the fake practitioner carried out procedures in non-medical settings and charged patients hundreds or thousands of pounds for treatments that promised a fuller figure.

Victims were often unaware of what was being injected into their bodies. Some suffered intense pain, infections, and long-term disfigurement, while others required emergency hospital treatment.

In many cases, the substances used were not medical-grade at all, but industrial materials never intended for human use—making the procedures extremely dangerous.

A Wider Warning

This case is not isolated. Health authorities have repeatedly warned about the rise of illegal cosmetic procedures carried out by unqualified individuals. These underground operations often target people seeking cheaper alternatives to legitimate surgery.

Experts stress that any cosmetic treatment involving injections should only be performed by fully licensed and accredited medical professionals in regulated environments.

Conclusion

The cement injection case stands as a grim reminder of how dangerous unregulated cosmetic treatments can be. What may begin as a pursuit of beauty can quickly turn into a life-threatening situation when carried out by unqualified individuals.

Authorities continue to urge the public to verify medical credentials and avoid cut-price procedures that seem too good to be true—because, as this case shows, the consequences can be devastating.
