Kanye West Faces Sexual Assault Lawsuit from Model Jenn An
Rapper and fashion entrepreneur Kanye West is facing serious allegations after former America’s Next Top Model contestant Jenn An filed a lawsuit claiming she was sexually assaulted during the filming of a music video in 2010.
According to court documents filed in New York, An alleges that she was working as a background model during the production of a remix video for the song “In for the Kill” by La Roux when West allegedly took control of the set and subjected her to unwanted physical acts. The lawsuit claims that she was choked, gagged, and assaulted during a scene that she says was not part of the original production.
An alleges that the incident left her distressed and struggling to breathe. The lawsuit seeks damages under New York’s Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act and also names other parties connected to the production.
West, who legally changed his name to Ye, has not been found liable for the allegations. The claims remain allegations before the court, and the legal case is ongoing. His legal representatives have previously sought dismissal of the lawsuit, arguing that the conduct described occurred in the context of artistic expression, a position that is being challenged by the plaintiff.
The case has received renewed attention in 2026 after singer Elly Jackson of La Roux reportedly supported An’s account in legal filings, describing what she witnessed as “horrific.” Additional witnesses have also reportedly provided statements relating to events on the set.
The lawsuit is one of several legal controversies that have surrounded West in recent years. However, as with all civil claims, the allegations must be tested through the legal process, and no court has yet ruled on the merits of An’s accusations.
