KATIE PRICE GIVES EVIDENCE AGAINST EX-HUSBAND KIERAN HAYLER AT CROWN COURT
TV personality tells jury she was “really shocked” by allegations involving a teenage girl as serious criminal trial continues
Katie Price has given evidence at Lewes Crown Court in the trial of her former husband, Kieran Hayler, who is facing serious allegations involving a teenage girl.
The former glamour model appeared as a witness on Monday, 12 October 2026, and told jurors she was shocked when the allegations first came to her attention. Hayler, 39, is accused of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving a girl who was 13 at the time of the alleged offences in West Sussex in 2016. He denies the charges.
PRICE DESCRIBES HER SHOCK
During her evidence, Price explained that she had confronted Hayler after learning about the allegations, asking him whether he had “done stuff” with the teenager.
She told the court she could not remember his precise response but said he had repeatedly denied doing anything wrong.
Price also described messages exchanged with the girl, telling jurors she believed the teenager appeared frightened. She recalled that the messages concerned allegations that Hayler had tried to kiss the girl and had behaved inappropriately towards her.
“I was shocked… like really shocked. It was a different kettle of fish, it’s a child,” Price told the court.
Her evidence forms part of the prosecution case as jurors examine the allegations and the circumstances surrounding them.
MESSAGES EXAMINED BY THE COURT
The court has also heard about messages Price exchanged with the girl in 2017, when the teenager was 14. During the exchange, Price asked questions about the alleged contact and said she wanted to understand what had happened.
Price told the jury that she wanted information because she considered the allegations serious. She also described experiencing significant personal difficulties during that period.
She said she was struggling herself and had experienced a breakdown, leading to treatment at the Priory.
HAYLER DENIES THE ALLEGATIONS
Hayler denies all four charges. The defence has suggested that the allegations form part of a campaign against him following the breakdown of his marriage to Price.
The couple married in 2013, separated in 2018 and divorced in 2021. The alleged victim is not a member of either Price’s or Hayler’s extended family.
The allegations were reported to the NSPCC in 2021, with the charity referring the matter to the police.
TRIAL CONTINUES
The case remains before Lewes Crown Court, where jurors must consider the evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defence before reaching a verdict.
The charges are allegations, not findings of guilt. Hayler is entitled to the presumption of innocence unless and until he is proved guilty.
