RAP CAREER THROWN INTO THE SPOTLIGHT AS FIREARMS CASE REACHES COURT
NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND — A female rapper known as REALBANDIT has become the focus of a major police investigation after a police officer was shot in the foot during an early-morning incident in Nottingham city centre.
Aisha Zaman, 27, from Hyson Green, has been charged with possessing a prohibited firearm and possessing that firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence. She appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 23 October, and was remanded in custody. The case is due to proceed to Nottingham Crown Court on 20 November, according to reports.
WHAT HAPPENED ON ANGEL ROW?
The incident took place at approximately 4:50 am on Sunday, 18 October, at a bus stop on Angel Row in Nottingham city centre.
Police said an officer approached two people who were acting suspiciously when he sustained a gunshot wound to his foot. A man and a woman reportedly fled the scene, prompting an urgent investigation and a search for those involved.
A firearm was recovered, and emergency services rushed to assist the injured officer. He has remained in hospital receiving treatment.
COURT HEARS ALLEGATIONS ABOUT THE FIREARM
During the court proceedings, the prosecution reportedly outlined allegations concerning how the firearm came into the defendant’s possession and how it discharged during the encounter with the officer.
The case has raised serious questions about the circumstances surrounding the weapon and the events leading up to the shooting. However, the charges remain allegations, and the defendant has not been convicted of the offences.
OTHER SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Detectives have also arrested several other people in connection with the investigation, including individuals suspected of assisting an offender and other alleged firearms-related offences.
Nottinghamshire Police said its investigation was continuing and thanked members of the public who supported the injured officer. Police have also asked anyone with relevant information to come forward.

The case involving REALBANDIT has drawn attention to the serious consequences of alleged firearms offences and the dangers faced by police officers while carrying out their duties.
As the investigation continues and the case moves through the courts, the key questions surrounding the shooting will need to be addressed through the legal process.
