Andrew Tate Faces New UK Charges Including Alleged Child Indecent Image Offences

Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate has been charged with a series of additional criminal offences by the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service CPS.  including 19 alleged offences relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. The new allegations form part of a wider criminal case that also includes accusations of rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

According to the CPS, the additional charges relate to four further alleged victims and concern incidents said to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017, Prosecutors stated that these new allegations increase the total number of alleged victims in the UK case to seven.

Andrew Tate’s brother, Tristan Tate, has also been charged with additional offences, including rape, sexual assault and arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. Together, the brothers now face a total of 59 charges in the UK

The Tate brothers were arrested by US authorities in Miami following a UK extradition request and are currently involved in extradition proceedings, British prosecutors are seeking their return to the UK so they can face both the original and newly authorised charge.

The Crown Prosecution Service emphasised that bringing charges does not amount to a finding of guilt.  It stated that the role of the CPS is to assess whether there is sufficient evidence and whether a prosecution is in the public interest. A determination of guilt or innocence can only be made by a court after a fair trial.

Andrew and Tristan Tate have consistently denied all allegations made against them\. Their legal representatives have described the prosecution as politically motivated and have said they intend to contest the extradition request as well as the criminal charges .

As legal proceedings are now active, further evidence will be examined through the courts. Until a verdict is reached, the charges remain allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
