A viral clip in which Andrew Tate appears to say he would have sex with a 15-year-old, there is an important context issue.
The clip has circulated in shortened versions that can make it appear as though Tate is simply stating that he personally would engage sexually with a 15-year-old. However, longer versions of the conversation indicate that he was discussing a hypothetical/another person’s argument, rather than straightforwardly describing an intention to have sex with a 15-year-old. Some online discussions specifically identify the conversation as involving a hypothetical attributed to Rollo.
That said, Tate has made other controversial statements about teenage girls and age, including saying that he preferred 18-year-olds to older women because he could have more influence on them.
There is also a separate and much more serious legal issue: Romanian authorities have investigated allegations that Tate had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. Tate has denied the allegations. A 2025 court filing also alleges that Tate himself publicly described beginning a relationship with another woman when she was around 15, although that filing contains allegations rather than a judicial finding of guilt.
So, the reason for the specific YouTube statement cannot safely be described as “Tate admitted he wanted to have sex with a 15-year-old” without examining the complete video. The context matters considerably.
There are allegations involving Tristan Tate and younger females, but it is important to distinguish allegations from proven facts.
As of August 2026, UK prosecutors have authorised criminal charges against Tristan Tate involving rape, sexual assault and arranging/facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The alleged offending is said to have occurred between 2010 and 2017. The CPS says these are allegations to be tested in court and that Tate is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
However, I cannot find reliable evidence establishing that Tristan Tate specifically approached a girl who was under 18. Some reports have discussed allegations involving minors in the wider Tate investigations, but that does not establish that Tristan himself approached or sexually abused a child.
